The gameplay is simple and intuitive, just tap any tile that is unobstructed and put it on the holding bar. When three tiles of a same color lies in a line, they will all blow and vanish. The true charm of the game is that every detail of the game has fun. It's all arranged in a series of tabletop-like levels (popping-out tile tableaux that sprawl across backgrounds ranging from haze-strewn seashores to sun-dappled rain forests) whose tile images stack, and frequently, perhaps, half-bury one another, so that every match feels like you're swiping leaves from the table to reveal secret throughways.

Developed by Oakever Games, Tile Explorer is a peaceful and challenging puzzle-in-motion that takes the tried and true triple-match format and transforms it into an experience more akin to interactive art. To win a level, players must clear three matching tiles by getting them into the same line on their grid. What's cool about it is that it is here to do one easy-as-can-be thing and it does so in a visually-fulfilling, mentally satisfying way.
The game is remarkable in how approachable it is. The rules are simple, tap or swipe to link matching tiles, and accessible enough to attract casual players, but deep enough to reel in aficionados of puzzle play. Intuitive buttons and easy controls make it playable for all ages and game options including cake race with your friends and rally modes. But as the players advance through the levels, they add inventively thought out wrinkles, such as obstacles, time limits and special tiles that the players need to strategize around and prepare for. Tile Explorer may be deceptively simple, but it's the balance of the game's ease and frustration that makes it so addictive to play.
Visually, the game is amazing. The tiles themselves are colourful and nicely designed, with satisfying animations that makes every match rewarding. The base and environment are quite colourful without being overly sophisticated, has nice atmosphere and gives a great setting without making it hard for the player. The sound effects and music are also well-judged, offering the perfect amount of aural relief to the tactile satisfaction of clearing tiles.
Something else well worth noting is its progression system. Hundreds of levels filled with new maneuvers or obstacles keep players on their toes. The learning curve is just right, it's never too easy nor infuriatingly difficult. There are power-ups and boosters for an added layer of strategy, and that means creative and creative solutions to difficult levels. Whether you like to play well thought-driven or to play dash against the clock, Tile Explorer fits all play-styles.
Turning away from gameplay, the game also excels at replay value. Daily challenges, leaderboards and special events give players reasons to return often, and competing with friends injects a social element to the mix. The developers have also ensured that the game never grows stale, with updates that keep pace with the times (should any of y'all need new brilliant corners to seek, decriminalization be known) and plenty of uncharted territories for old-hands to prospect.
In a world awash with jigsaw cacophony, Tile Explorer stands out thanks to its smart level advancement, considered design, and joy. It's that great kind of game: One that's good for brief sessions during a commute or long binges as you try to relax. Whether you are a casual or hardcore player, this game is for you; if you are a fan of puzzle games both easy and difficult, the game is for you; or if you just want a fun experience that keeps you coming back. Tile Explorer is a must-have for those who love a good puzzle game with nice artwork and slick game-play, as there's literally an abundance of variety to keep just about anyone entertained.
